January update

I’m going to be raising money for Cats Protection throughout 2017.  Every month I’m going to give an overview of the challenges I’ve completed, my training and fundraising so far.  January has been a busy month preparing for my challenges and kicking off my fundraising. Continue reading

Rory’s guide to owning a human

There are many cats out there who think that they would like to own a human, but there is a lot that you need to know before you decide to move in with one.  Although humans seem to be independent, they are actually a big commitment and despite appearances are not actually capable of taking care of themselves. Hopping for cats?

This isn’t exactly the training update that I wanted to share this early in 2017!  Following a weekend of walking and 2 weeks into my running training I woke up on Monday last week with pain in my right ankle.  At first I thought it was normal post-exercise ache but it got worse throughout the day and by the end of the day I was limping.  Not ideal! Edinburgh Hills and History

Today Paul and I went for a walk around the hills of Edinburgh city centre and took in some of the history on our way.

Holyrood Park & Arthur’s Seat

We started out with a walk around Holyrood Park and up Arthur’s seat, the first of three hills on our route.  Holyrood Park is a slice of countryside in the middle of Edinburgh City Centre.  A former royal hunting ground, and the site of a number of bronze age forts, the area was designated as a park by King James V in the 16th century. Rory’s Guide to New Years Resolutions

A few tips from Rory on New Years resolutions.  Have an amazing 2017 everyone!

Fridge raiding

If you’re trying to stick to a healthy diet try to avoid grazing by keeping a small black kitten in your fridge.  The kitten will act as a guard or at least a distraction.  Do not eat the kitten by accident – he will be quite chewy.
