Today I paid a visit to Edinburgh Zoo, inspired by a post that I read recently about lions on Feline Cafe. Edinburgh Zoo has recently opened a new tiger exhibit, called Tiger Tracks, to home it’s two beautiful Sumatran Tigers, Jambi and Baginda.
Sumatran tigers are critically endangered and both tigers at the zoo are part of the European Endangered Species Programme.
Some of the behaviours of tigers are not so different to that of our pet cats. The following iconograph shows some of the similarities and differences (accompanied by pictures of Jambi, Rory and Mac):
I’ll be posting some more pictures from Edinburgh Zoo on the Rory’s Feline Good Facebook page soon, including more of tigers, lions and some animals that aren’t cats (shocking I know).
