I haven’t been able to do as much training as I would like in May. I’ve been on holiday and met lots of lovely feral cats in Crete and I’ve also started a new job. A highlight of this month is that little Mac, my lovely black cat turned one year old!
Please visit my JustGiving page if you would like to sponsor me (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/RorysFelineGood). If you’re based in the UK you can also text “RFGD99 £2” (or your chosen amount up to £10) to 70070 to sponsor me for Cats Protection.
I haven’t completed any challenges for Cats Protection in May. I did take part on the Edinburgh Marathon as part of a relay team for CHAS – you can read more about this here. On 4th June I will be taking part in the Great Women’s 10K in Glasgow for Cats Protection – a bit worried about this one given the lack of training this month!
My new job means that I will have to travel more and unfortunately I have had to pull out of taking part in RoughRunner with the team from Kirkliston Bootcamp. I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to take part but am looking out for alternative challenges to take it’s place – I promise to make up for not being able to take part.
For full details of all of the other challenges I am taking part in visit the challenges page.
This month I have:
- Ran – 30.8 km
- Walked – 32.1 km
- Attended 3 Bootcamp sessions
Not a great month for training! I will definitely need to pick up if I am going to complete the West Highland Way in one piece later this year!
May has been a good month for donations. Thank you to everyone for your support and generosity. In total so far I’ve raised £825.17 for Cats Protection. This will make an amazing difference for the cats they look after and re-home.
