Today is Rory’s 5th birthday! He’s here to give you a high 5:
West Highland Way Trek – Complete
On Sunday we completed our biggest challenge to raise money for Cats Protection, the 96 mile West Highland Way Trek. It was tough going and I think I’ll be recovering for a couple of weeks!
As this is the main challenge I have wrote about our trek on it’s own page here: West Highland Way Trek
Trekking the West Highland Way
Although I am taking part in a number of challenges this year for Cats Protection the main event is definitely the West Highland Way trek, which I’m doing with my husband Paul.
The West Highland Way is 96 miles long and we plan to walk it over five days. To add to the challenge we’re going to be camping all the way and carrying our things. Five days is a stretch for us as most guides recommend walking over seven or eight days. Continue reading
Fun in the sun
Scotland isn’t known for it’s sunny weather but recently we have been fortunate to have quite a few days of sunshine. Rory and Mac have been making the most of it. Here are some pictures of them enjoying themselves outside.

May Update

Running for CHAS
In 2017 I’m taking part in a lot of challenges to raise money for Cats Protection (you can see a full list of challenges here). However, last weekend I ran in the Edinburgh Marathon relay event for the Children’s Hospice Associations Scotland (CHAS), the chosen charity for my team. The relay involved teams of 4 and we had four relay teams participating from work.
Happy First Birthday Mac!
Happy first birthday to our little adventure cat Mac. He is tiny but gets up to all kinds of mischief and keeps us on our toes.
Cats of Crete
If you’re wondering why I haven’t posted for a while, it’s because I’ve been on holiday in Crete. I took a break from blogging and from training, a chance to properly unwind. When on holiday I met a number of stray, un-neutered cats at my hotel. This blog post is about them, but also some advice for tourists generally on helping stray cats. Continue reading
